Fajna analiza:
It's still going to be a slight variation on his Samp/Empoli 4312 but with Suso more fixed on the right side instead of both attackers swapping positions all game. This means Piatek will stay slightly off center on the left side, with Rebic in between. Rebic will obviously have license to roam, and there will be lots of space on the left of Piatek so it will sometimes feel like a 433.

I think the key will be our left side. Our game will naturally gravitate to the right because of Suso (just take a look at our heat maps last few years). This won't change. Suso is still our main threat. The difference now is that we have the players that can quickly exploit the space out on the left side. This is how we will break down defensive opposition, by shifting the ball from Suso, all the way to Theo who will have space to run into. Rodriguez couldn't do this effectively, and Bakayoko (and Biglia to an extent) didn't shift the ball fast enough. Attacking narrow all the time against those kinds of teams will be very frustrating so we need to have an option at the flanks to play around them (with the Suso overload on the right being the other option).

Rebic is key when it comes to our pressing. Piatek and Suso will occupy their CB's but Rebic will have the job of staying high and closing down all the passing options into their central midfield. The aim is to force them to pass the ball wide where we can push them against the touchline. This is possible mainly because Kessie can sprint over and over again to their fullback before he has time to go inside. Hakan or Paqueta can hopefully replicate this on the other side but i'm guessing they'll be subbed out constantly since they can't keep it up like Kessie.
Rebic will constantly be looking at the defenders marking Suso and Piatek and running in the space that's available. Castillejo tried to do this but couldn't control the long balls and doesn't have the strength to carry the ball when under pressure. I think Rebic can do this.

The weakness obviously is countering against strong opposition with great wingers, since they can manage one on one against our fullbacks as they have minimal support. My guess is against these games we'll revert to a 4411 block, with Kessie and Bennacer in the middle, Suso on the right and Hakan/Paqueta on the left. Rebic behind Piatek. The difference here is that Paqueta and Suso are tasked to track the fullbacks (not Kessie) and Piatek + Rebic work to force the ball wide without help from Suso. Kessie and Bennacer are strong enough to block the middle. When in possession we'll still play the same game and probably the initial counterpress will be the same, but once we drop it should be a safer 4411 block. Defending narrow against a team like Inter for example will be suicide.
