PGMOL was totally fine with an offside goal for Newcastle and a missed penalty for Liverpool, because they live in a world where a very, very wide latitude of "clearly wrong" allows them to justify simply "wrong" decisions. Yet a pretty rare penalty decision results in this because it's stoppage time of the Monday game and would have affected the result.
