The Blues are looking to bolster their attacking options by snapping up two of the most promising strikers around...
According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mail, Premier League giants Chelsea have signed Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City.
While it is claimed that the Blues have snapped up the 19-year-old striker on a free transfer, they are yet to confirm any such deal on their official website.
If the west London outfit have captured the highly rated England Under-20 international, it is likely they will have offered big wages, as the reason he is out of contract this summer is that the Citizens failed to meet his £55,000-a-week demands.
The Guardian, on the other hand, writes that Chelsea are keeping tabs on the youngster, but suggest that they have yet to officially sign him.
The Telegraph even claims that Aston Villa will agree a compensation package with Manchester City before luring the 6ft 2in Birmingham-born forward to Villa Park.
Meanwhile, it was reported on Tuesday that Chelsea were considering making a €35 million move for Milan's promising forward Alexandre Pato.
The Daily Mail claims that the Blues are readying an offer closet to €52m to take the 19-year-old Brazil international to Stamford Bridge.
